I dont understand why people are obsessed with what Raf did. He put on a shit show and his temporary reign will not last for more than a few seasons. Give it a bit till he is dismissed from Dior. Great, he kept the silhouettes and brought back forms, but he took away the drama and the beauty of Dior. Though Saab might have clothes that look similar, he at least has the drama and the traditional beauty that is needed for couture. Burton has proved that she has the talent to fill the large shoes she was given when she started at McQueen. She’ll keep the forms at Dior without taking away the drama and traditional feel that couture is supposed to have. Its rather stupid when people say that you cant compare Galliano and Raf. Its the same job position, same task, and same company. Galliano was king and Simons doesn’t have the kind of talent to even remotely fill the shoes of a couture house whose standards are set so high.
